September 2026 - I had the opportunity to guest on Life Balance with Cath Mayormita on DWIZ—and this was not my typical interview.

We talked about magic, but we also went beyond the stage. We explored my work in artificial intelligence, environmental advocacy, health and wellness, and the ongoing challenge of creating a meaningful life while pursuing many different passions.

People often ask me how I manage everything I do.

I am a professional magician and voice artist. I create content, speak about AI, support sustainability projects, and help build communities. I am also constantly studying, developing new performances, meeting clients, traveling, and finding better ways to turn my skills into work that can create a positive impact.

The honest answer is that I do not always have everything perfectly balanced.

Magic With a Greater Purpose

Magic may be entertainment, but for me, it is also a way to connect with people.

A good magic performance can make someone stop, become curious, laugh, and experience wonder—even if only for a few minutes. In a world filled with stress, bad news, and endless distractions, creating that moment can be valuable.

I want my magic to do more than simply fool people. I want it to bring people together, make occasions more memorable, and sometimes introduce meaningful ideas.

That is why I continue exploring how magic can connect with Filipino identity, sustainability, technology, memory, and positive social change.

Sustainability Starts With Awareness

My environmental advocacy reminds me that our personal choices affect a much larger world.

Through initiatives such as AI Rescue and food-rescue advocacy, I have learned that sustainability is not only about large campaigns. It can begin with simple actions: reducing waste, rescuing usable food, supporting responsible businesses, caring for animals, and using our platforms to help people understand why these issues matter.

As a performer and content creator, I have attention. The question is: what will I do with it?

Entertainment can attract people, but a meaningful message can stay with them. I believe we can use creativity to make environmental education more approachable, memorable, and inspiring.

Using AI Without Losing Our Humanity

Artificial intelligence has become another important part of my work.

I use AI to develop ideas, support creative production, organize information, and communicate stories more effectively. I also speak about helping people understand and use AI responsibly.

AI can make us faster, but being faster does not automatically make us wiser. We still need judgment, empathy, accuracy, ethics, and a clear sense of purpose.

For me, the goal is not to allow technology to replace human creativity. It is to use technology to strengthen our ability to create, educate, solve problems, and help others.

The most important question is not simply, “What can AI do?”

It is, “What kind of future are we using it to create?”

Dealing With Stress and Pressure

Doing many things can be exciting, but it can also become overwhelming.

There is pressure to remain creative, book more projects, earn consistently, improve my performances, grow online, help my communities, and meet the expectations of other people. There are also moments of doubt when progress feels slow or when a performance does not go as planned.

I am learning that stress cannot always be eliminated, but it can be managed.

I try to deal with it by returning to what I can control: preparing properly, organizing my priorities, giving myself time to recover, and talking to people I trust. I remind myself that one difficult performance, rejected proposal, negative comment, or unproductive day does not define my entire career.

Rest is also part of the work. It is not a reward that we receive only after exhausting ourselves.

Taking Physical Health Seriously

As a performer, my body is part of my instrument.

My energy, breathing, movement, focus, and confidence all affect how I appear onstage. This has made me more conscious of exercising, improving my nutrition, sleeping properly, and taking my health concerns seriously.

I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, which helped me understand why quality sleep matters so much. Using a CPAP machine and becoming more attentive to my rest reminded me that health problems should not simply be ignored because we are busy.

I am still working on becoming more consistent with exercise and weight management. I do not approach health as a short-term transformation. I see it as building habits that will allow me to perform, travel, create, and serve others for many more years.

Caring for Mental Health

Mental health is just as important as physical health.

Creative people can sometimes connect their self-worth to applause, views, bookings, recognition, or other people’s opinions. I have experienced moments of comparison, disappointment, uncertainty, and overthinking.

I am learning to separate who I am from the results of a particular day.

I can take my work seriously without attacking myself whenever something goes wrong. I can acknowledge my mistakes, learn from them, and still treat myself with patience. I can pursue excellence without believing that I must be perfect.

It also helps to spend time with people who keep me grounded, step away from the noise, and remember why I began. When things feel too heavy, seeking support is not weakness. Speaking with trusted people—or with a qualified mental-health professional when necessary—is a responsible step.

What Life Balance Means to Me

Balance does not always mean giving every part of life an equal amount of time.

Sometimes my career needs more attention. Sometimes my body needs recovery. Sometimes my relationships, family, mental health, or personal growth must come first.

Life balance is the ability to recognize what needs attention before neglect turns into a crisis.

I am still learning how to do this. I do not have a perfect formula. What I have is a commitment to become more aware, make better choices, and build a life that I can sustain—not only a life that looks successful from the outside.

Of course, we could not end the interview without a little magic. After sharing these personal stories and lessons, I had the opportunity to perform for Cath and the Life Balance team. It was the perfect way to close our conversation: not only by talking about what I do, but by allowing everyone in the studio to experience the wonder, connection, and joy that magic can create.

Thank you to Cath Mayormita and DWIZ Life Balance for allowing me to share a more personal side of my journey.

I may work in magic, AI, voice artistry, and sustainability, but these are not separate identities. They are different ways of pursuing the same purpose:

To use magic, voice, and AI for positive social change—and to build a healthier life that allows me to continue doing it.
