TOYFAIR 2025 was a celebration of fandom, creativity, and storytelling—but for me, it was also a meaningful opportunity to stand at the intersection of voice, performance, and community as a co-host of the Anime Dubbing Showcase, presented by CreatiVoices Productions, CVAP Inc., and Ani-One Philippines.

Held on December 14, 2025, the showcase brought Filipino anime fans face-to-face with the people behind the voices of popular Tagalog-dubbed series such as Kaiju No. 8 and Gachiakuta. As co-host alongside Donnah Vee Abuyuan, my role was to guide the audience through the program—keeping the energy dynamic while ensuring that the spotlight remained on the voice artists, the craft, and the stories they shared.

What made the experience special was the balance between structure and spontaneity. From panel discussions to live dubbing demonstrations, the event allowed audiences to see how voice acting works in real time—how emotion, timing, and character interpretation come together inside the booth. One of the most exciting moments was the live on-stage dubbing competition, where aspiring voice talents stepped up and performed in front of both industry professionals and fellow fans.
Hosting this segment was particularly rewarding. It wasn’t just about announcing winners or keeping time—it was about creating a safe, encouraging space where emerging voices could be heard and celebrated. Moments like these remind me why hosting, voice work, and storytelling matter: they give people confidence, connection, and a platform to be seen.

The showcase also marked important milestones. CreatiVoices celebrated its 20th anniVoicesary, scholarships were awarded to promising talents for formal training under CVAP starting in 2026, and upcoming dubbed titles like Solo Leveling and My Hero Academia were announced—clear signs that Filipino dubbing continues to grow and evolve.

Being part of this event as a co-host reaffirmed my belief that voice is more than sound—it’s identity, culture, and impact. I’m grateful to CreatiVoices, CVAP, Ani-One Philippines, and the TOYFAIR community for the trust and the chance to help shape a space where Filipino voices truly take center stage.
