LOVE, GUESS: A Night of Self-Love, Seduction, and Magic

By Mac Florendo

On March 4, GUESS Philippines turned the typical Valentine’s celebration on its head with a night that wasn’t about couples, flowers, or grand romantic gestures. Instead, LOVE, GUESS at Baked Studios, Makati became a love letter to self-worth, confidence, and unapologetic self-expression.

From the moment the crimson curtains parted, guests stepped into a space where glamour met mystery. The lights were low, the music was seductive, and every detail — from the scent of vintage perfume wafting through the air to the rich velvet textures around the room — was designed to awaken the senses.

At the center of it all was Mac Florendo, Mr. Magic of the Philippines — and this time, I wasn’t just performing. I was inviting people back to themselves through the art of wonder. Alongside me was the brilliant Emman Espiritu, a master mentalist who read minds, revealed truths, and made the impossible feel intimate.

Together, we created experiences that couldn’t be explained — only felt.

We weren’t just on stage. We moved through the crowd, blurring the line between performer and guest. I dealt cards and emotions with equal flair, while Emman uncovered thoughts never spoken aloud. In a room full of beautiful clothes and curated moments, the magic reminded everyone of something real: the most powerful kind of love is the one you give yourself.

The night pulsed with elegance and edge. A sultry burlesque performance held the room in breathless silence. A live saxophonist floated notes through the air like silk. And a DJ curated a soundscape that kept spirits high and hearts open.

Mystics offered tarot and palm readings. A vintage perfume ritual invited guests to discover their scent story. Artisanal cocktails and fine food added indulgence to every conversation. This wasn’t a party — it was an experience.

And in the midst of it all, GUESS’ latest Mainline Collection stood boldly on display. Sleek, sensual, and commanding — the pieces didn’t just turn heads. They turned energy. Guests weren’t just wearing fashion. They were wearing power.

LOVE, GUESS wasn’t just about aesthetics. It was about intention. About reclaiming your worth. About standing in your truth. Emman and I simply reflected that through mystery and magic.

Because the real illusion isn’t in the cards or the mind games. The real illusion is thinking you’re not enough.

You are.

That night was proof — every guest left a little taller, a little braver, and a lot more in love with themselves.

If love is a language, then LOVE, GUESS was fluent in every word that matters:Confidence. Boldness. Presence. And magic.

Until the next spellbinding night
